About Dr. Cannabis
Most cannabis sites are catalogues. You arrive knowing you feel bad and leave knowing that seventeen dispensaries near you stock roughly the same products. That is the wrong shape for the problem.
What we do differently
We start with the symptom, not the shelf. You tell us what is wrong; we tell you what the published evidence actually supports, what cannabinoid ratio and format to ask for, where to start on dose, and which state-licensed dispensaries are near you.
The uncomfortable part of doing that honestly is that the evidence is often thin. The 2017 National Academies review placed exactly three indications in its highest category and exactly one in moderate. We say so on every page rather than implying more.
How a recommendation is made
- 1A deterministic rules engine maps your condition, experience level, timing, and intoxication preference onto a cannabinoid ratio, terpene profile, format list, and starting dose — all drawn from sourced content in this repository.
- 2A language model then writes the plain-English explanation around that output. It is explicitly forbidden from changing the cannabinoids, dose, ratio, or formats, and from inventing research findings.
- 3If the model is unavailable, times out, or returns something malformed, you get the deterministic explanation instead. The advice does not change — only the wording.
- 4Where AI wrote the prose, the page says so.
What we will not do
- • Invent a dispensary, an address, a phone number, a review, or a business hour.
- • Take payment for placement or ranking in search results.
- • Claim cannabis treats or cures a disease.
- • Present a terpene marketing claim as though it were a clinical finding.
- • Hide the conditions where the evidence says cannabis does not help.
- • Sell cannabis, or process a cannabis transaction.
