Dronabinol
Synthetic THC, FDA-approved as Marinol (1985) and Syndros oral solution (2016) for chemotherapy-induced nausea and AIDS-related appetite loss.
Dronabinol is chemically identical to the THC in cannabis but manufactured synthetically, with pharmaceutical dose consistency.
Its approval is the clearest demonstration that THC has accepted medical uses in specific, narrow indications.
