Terpinolene
Defines the third major commercial chemotype. Consumer claims about it are contradictory and unsupported.
Preclinical onlySupported only by laboratory or animal studies, frequently at doses far above what a cannabis product delivers. No human clinical evidence.

High-terpinolene products are a genuinely distinct chemical group — the third chemotype identified in large-scale commercial testing, alongside caryophyllene/limonene and myrcene/pinene.
Consumer literature describes terpinolene as both energizing and sedating, which is a reasonable signal that neither claim is well founded. The 2024 systematic review found only modest lipid-peroxidation inhibition. There is no human data.
What marketing claims

- • Uplifting
